Sunday, 7 December 1941, the first wave of the Japanese attack force hit Oahu at 7:53 a.m. Nearly an hour later, the second wave hit. At 9:55 a.m., it was all over. By the end, 2,403 people had died, 1,104 were wounded, and 188 planes and 18 ships were either damaged or destroyed.
